For a HDMI stick invert xy coordinates has to be enabled.
Only rotation locker is optional.
Invert xy coordinates is for touch to work correctly with landscape orientation.
Rotation locker is to force apps to be in landscape orientation.
On a HDMI stick most apps will be in landscape already. There are only some apps that behave badly and will show in portrait mode regardless. So if you use only "nice" apps you don't need to enable the rotation locker.
